Atonal Riff-Tunes To A Tone Deaf Borderguard

This Thursday I will be reading with Michael C. Ford who went to college with Jim Morrison and recorded grammy-nominated spoken word CDs with Ray Manzarek and John Densmore who made a cameo in the 1991 biopic of their band The Doors, which was directed by Oliver Stone who also directed the movie JFK which starred KEVIN BACON.

Meeting interesting out-of-state poets is one of my favorite things about doing live readings.

75-year-old Michael C. Ford is a Los Angeles legend whose first reading occurred at a Fund Raiser for Norman Mailer's run for Mayor of New York in 1969 with Jim Morrison and poets Jack Hirschman, Michael McClure & several Andy Warhol "Factory workers". He's known all kinds of fascinating folks like William S. Burroughs, etc. Hopefully, he'll share a few stories.

And it might become a little easier for me to play Six Degrees Of W.S. Merwin
after Thursday's reading at Lawn Gnome Bookstore.
