wicked witch of the west in Photoshop Friday


Living in Arizona, we're pretty much accustomed to suffering one National embarrassment after another. We were just getting over local school districts banning authors like Sherman Alexie and now our governor's version of Western hospitality has gone viral.

When I first saw that tarmac image, it immediately reminded me of a similar composition which spiraled into countless other similarities (chins, for example). So I did some searching to find that particular shot and waste some time with Photoshop.





But since it was fun and cathartic , I will try to keep up a weekly Photoshop Friday on this blog. Even for poets, it's a great writing exercise to get in the habit of trying to say things without using words.


By the way, this is the original photo...not that anyone can tell the difference:
